Natural stones, including but not limited to marble, limestone and travertine, are natural products, as such contain variations in colour, veining and shading. Some stones will contain inclusions, pits or fissures as a result of their geological formation. Samples are used as a representation of the final product and will not be an exact match.  Natural stones are porous in nature, some more so than others, and can be subject to staining and scratching. These qualities are inherent in natural stone products and are not considered to be defects.

Wood is a natural material, and may contain varied wood grain, colour variation, heartwood, sapwood, medullary rays and knots. These are naturally occurring features to be expected of any solid wood product, and are not considered a defect.
